Underestimated by experts on off road ability.

by Tony on 5/7/2026 8:54:42 AM

My wife and I have owned 2 Ecosports there much different rides. Our 2019 model 1.0 liter very solid vehical tight solid as a rock but very slow no zip my wife loved it handle great 22 mpg good in all weather conditions purches price around $22,000 with $1,200 trade in sold it 2 years later 40,000 mile on it $17,500. 2022 se 2.0 plenty of zip handles great I've driven it snow storms thru fields of roading no problems main reasons for being price and heath reasons you step downward out of it instead of pulling your self up like Ford Taurus 22 mpg not as tight as 2019 if you know what i mean little rattle hear and there both models have head lights pointed downward we asked for them to be adjusted both vehicles Ford dealers said thats proper place the way its adjusted had to tell them raise head lights up right or wrong can't see far enough ahead all in all good vehicals who ever said 2022 not good for off road never drove it off road if I had to pick either 2019 or 2022 and was planning on keeping it 7 years or 100,000 miles I would pick 2019. Only complaint about these vehicles no spare tire had a blow out 95 degrees on turn Pike on a holiday we had to get it towed to our house and ride with tow truck driver back home missing a family gathering when I realize standing in the heat on turnpike there was no spare tire living in Pennsylvania I thought to my self where is government over site on this and just about every issue there is what has become of Pennsylvania its leader ship is MIA.

        GREAT ECONOMY CAR

by SatanicMajesty on 11/10/2025 10:39:33 AM

We bought our 2020 EcoSport in March 2021. We have kept up with the suggested maintenance schedule, and have experienced no issues regarding mechanical problems, performance, or durability. The car is small, but comfortably seats 4–5 people. The only thing about small SUV's that lacks convenience is that there is little cargo space, even when you put the rear seats down. It's enough space for 3 carry on bags with the rear seats up. When the rear seats are down, the cargo space is good for a decent size Costco haul, but no large electronics boxes for TV's will fit. We get decent gas mileage of twenty-three MPG with city driving conditions and 29-30 MPG with highway driving. The EcoSport plows through snow that's so deep it seems as though the vehicle won't make it through the snow, but it's never been stuck in snow. Also, our insurance for our SUV is only $360 every 6 months. It's been an economically great, little SUV. They're also cute.

        Surprisingly impressive vehicle

by Luke on 5/12/2025 4:15:49 PM

At first I wasn't sure about this vehicle. My choice to buy was driven by availability, affordability, and financing. I liked it but wasn't sure I loved it. Original owner since new, this car has proven over and over again that it was the right choice for me. With the shorter length it makes parallel and regular parking much easier in urban environments; it fits where most vans, trucks, and larger SUV's can't. Zips in and out of traffic with little effort. Acceleration is very quick; moves like a fox... swift and with purpose. MPG was very good, but I had wished for better. All tech features are terrific including the Ford Pass which allows you to auto start your car from literally anywhere using your smart phone, not a control fob. For instance, I was in Florida during the winter, came back home to 8 inches of snow. As soon as I landed I auto started from the runway to warm the car and melt snow. I restarted the car from the shuttle bus back to the parking lot. By the time I got to it, it was warm and toasty, all the snow was melted off the windows. Got in and just drove away. Remarkable improvement to the auto start concept. Mine included a moon roof which has been great for circulating fresh air without the side windows open. Another great feature was the tailgate, which is a side swing door, not a lift gate. The side swing has been great when having to load materials in to the car, no more worries about bumping my head. The fold flat seats have been great for moving bulky items. I was able to neatly stack 25 bags of mulch and move them to my house and I could have added 5 more if I didn't mind blocking the rear window. shocking amount of cargo room. Whether for a 1st time driver or seasoned adult, this car was a welcome surprised. Something else that's a surprise is that my state and insurance company classify this a station wagon, not SUV or truck... so lower rates apply for both. This is a vehicle that if you take care of it, it will take care of you.
